Monitoring & Evaluation Workshops

Monitoring & Evaluation Workshops

CIC offers facilitated workshops to guide your team to develop your program logic model and monitoring and evaluation strategy. We take a proactive approach to evaluation, so we encourage teams to reach out while you are still designing your program — the earlier the better!

Examples of workshop goals:

  • Learn how to develop a program logic model

  • Learn how to use the program logic model to develop a monitoring and evaluation strategy

  • Develop a working draft of your program’s logic model and performance indicators

  • Gain a deeper understanding of your program across stakeholders

These workshops are highly interactive and attendees will be encouraged to learn by doing. We can work with you to put together a workshop series that fits your team’s needs and schedules.

FAQ

Who attends?

We encourage you to engage your partners as widely as possible. Partners may include patients, families/caregivers, program staff, clinical leads, clinical managers, support staff (e.g., Decision Support, Finance), and executive leadership.

What is the time commitment?

We recommend that teams commit to at least 3 workshops, scheduled over a 1-2 month period, to achieve the workshop goals.

Does the CIC conduct evaluations?

No. These interactive workshops are designed to equip your organization with the knowledge, skills, and tools to create a monitoring and evaluation strategy rooted in your program logic. Depending on what you are looking to gain from the workshop series, we may identify performance indicators that can be used in future evaluations conducted internally, or externally by another organization.

Why are evaluation workshops beneficial?

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation is an essential part of measuring any program’s success and planning for quality improvement. Engaging your partners early in designing the evaluation strategy increases implementation buy-in and confidence in demonstrating long-term results.
