Humayun Kabir
Humayun Kabir is trained as an epidemiologist and a nurse, with a specialization in health systems research focusing on aging. He works on projects examining the medical complexity of residents in retirement homes, utilizing linked administrative health data.
As a graduate thesis student, he also utilized data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) to examine the relationship between economic status and transitions to retirement homes.
His research interests extend to the application of AI modelling in long-term care (LTC), specifically how AI tools can enhance resident safety, predict clinical diagnoses, and support timely interventions.
