Samaneh Farahani

 Samaneh Farahani is a Research Associate at the Centre for Integrated Care and a PhD candidate in Health Policy at McMaster University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration (Community Care) from Toronto Metropolitan University. 

She has collaborated with long-term care and community organizations to advance innovative models for aging in place and homecare and has conducted research on digital inclusion and community integration among migrant populations. Samaneh previously co-led a project at the Community Services focused on refining the organization’s client experience survey for its Health Services portfolio, developing an evidence-based, culturally responsive framework to improve data quality and strengthen quality improvement processes. 

Samaneh’s research interests include aging and elderly care, workforce optimization, health services research, and healthcare quality, with a particular focus on using population-level data and policy analysis to improve care coordination and system integration. 

Her current project, Changing Resident Composition in Ontario’s Long-Term Care Homes (2017–2025), examines longitudinal shifts in the demographic and clinical profiles of Ontario’s long-term care residents over time.
