Olexiy Pukhov
Staff Scientist
Olexiy Pukhov is a Staff Scientist with the OnSPARK team, where he leads the development of end-to-end data systems for long-term care research, from local large language model pipelines that transform inspection reports and other unstructured healthcare data into structured, analyzable datasets, to the interactive dashboards, web applications, and visualizations that make those data accessible to researchers and decision-makers. His current work applies these methods to regulated health professional workforce data to surface novel insights about Ontario's health workforce.
He holds an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto, where he is also a Research Associate at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. His research on the economics of community pharmacy in Ontario has been published as an open-access series in the Canadian Pharmacists Journal, with additional work in Healthcare Management Forum. His background spans clinical pharmacy training, data science, and production software development.
