Josh Rundle
Josh is a Master of Public Health (MPH) candidate at McMaster University, where he is completing his thesis under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Costa. His work focuses on understanding the factors that shape vaccine uptake in Long-Term Care homes across Ontario. Using OnSPARK data, he aims to produce insights that inform Infection Prevention and Control efforts and guide resource allocation at both the provincial and home-level. Josh’s passion for infectious disease epidemiology is grounded in a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. Josh has had the opportunity to serve vulnerable populations in both clinical and non-clinical settings, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges faced by underserved groups.
Josh is also heavily involved in extra curricular initiatives at McMaster University, serving as the President of the MPH Association, Vice President of Finance for the MPH Student-Led Conference, and Junior Co-Chair of the Department of HEI Learners’ Advisory Board. Josh is pursuing additional research projects in health workforce planning and health systems management under the supervision of Dr. Iwona Bielska in an international research collaboration with researchers at Jagiellonian University in Poland.
With his eyes set on a future career in medicine, Josh hopes to become a physician‑researcher who advances equitable care through the integration of public health research and evidence-based clinical practice.
